Wall ties are laid into brickwork to provide stability to the brickwork and the surrounding area. They are laid at 600mm maximum centres, both horizontally and vertically. There are many different types of wall ties, for many different types of situations. I doubt I can list them all here as I have used some really weird ones over the years that I no longer see anymore. All wall ties are generally zinc plated or galvanized.
